Back-up Satellite Communication on the Move
Terrestrial communication networks are vulnerable to collapse and overload following natural and man-made disasters:
- Hurricanes
- Earthquakes
- Tsunamis
- Terrorist attacks
- Or in developing nations and remote locations.
Search and rescue forces need a reliable and quickly implementable wide-scale back-up communication system in order to provide effective rescue services.
RaySat Antenna Systems 2-way mobile satellite antennas provide back-up communication and mobile satellite broadband so that forces can be briefed while on the move and receive real-time video from the scene.
Since RaySat Antenna Systems SatCom on the move and mobile VSAT antennas support data services on any Ku band satellite, they function despite a lack of or a destruction of terrestrial infrastructure - when & where situations are at their most critical and life-threatening.
Always-On Operatoin
In order to allow immediate deployment and evacuation in situations when life can depend on a matter of seconds, RaySat Antenna Systems 2-way SatCom on the move antennas do not require any set-up or stowage time. The automatic satellite acquisition technology allows first responder teams to activate the antennas and begin communication while on the way to the disaster scene.
RaySat Antenna Systems’ high-speed satellite tracking technology enables first responder vehicles racing to the disaster scene at speeds up to 350 km/h to reliably transfer real-time data via satellite during critical situations. This capability provides first assessments of disaster situations to be viewed on-line by the command center and more effectively manage the disaster recovery process.
With an autonomous operating system, first responder teams do not need a dedicated technician to support communication. The simple-to-activate system allows rescuers to focus solely on the emergency situation.
Cost-Efficient Communication
Providing broadband satellite communication capability over a wide-spread area, RaySat Antenna Systems mobile satellite antennas are a single solution that supports the transfer of a variety of types of data, including:
- Streaming and on-line video
- Real-time data
- Secured Voice over IP
- Mobile phone backhaul
- GPS locater
- Mobile satellite Internet connectivity
Quick Installation, Simple Operation and Immediate Implementation
The low-profile and light-weight design of RaySat Antenna Systems’ SatCom on the move antennas maintain vehicles' mobility, agility, stability and aerodynamics in order to ensure swift arrival to disaster locations. The compact size of RaySat Antenna Systems’ low-profile mobile satellite antennas enables installation on vehicles of all sizes and does not interfere with other roof-top equipment.
